  • 6 La Brea Bakery Take & Bake Torta Rolls
  • 2 large ripe heirloom tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 large red onion, sliced
  • 2 ½ pounds ground beef
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill and lightly oil it.
  2. Season tomato and onion slices with salt and pepper; set aside.
  3. Shape ground beef into 6 patties; season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill patties until cooked to desired doneness (4-6 minutes per side). Add cheese during the last minute to melt.
  5. Toast torta rolls on the grill cut-side down for about 2 minutes.
  6. Assemble burgers with lettuce, tomato, grilled patty, and onions on the bottom half of the roll. Top with condiments and finish with the roll top.
