  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp active dry yeast

  • 2 Tbsp butter (softened)
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  2. Mix in the egg, softened butter, and salt until combined.
  3. Gradually add flour one cup at a time until well incorporated.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth or use a stand mixer.
  5. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  6. Shape into 8-10 balls, place on greased baking sheet, flatten gently, and let rise again for another 30-40 minutes.
  7. Brush with egg white mixture and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
  8. Bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
