  • 1 ½ cups Domino® Golden Sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 2 cups unsalted butter
  • 8 cups Domino® Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tsp almond extract
  • 35 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • Salt, to taste
  • Red and blue gel icing color

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with cupcake liners.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Beat butter, vegetable oil, and sugar until fluffy; add eggs one at a time, then mix in milk.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients into wet mixture until just incorporated.
  5. Fill liners two-thirds full; bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  6. For frosting, beat butter until smooth; gradually mix in powdered sugar, almond extract, heavy cream, and salt.
  7. Color frosting red and blue; decorate cupcakes in an American flag pattern.
