  • 1 cup sugar (200 g)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (133 g)
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped apples (100 g)
  • ½ cup toasted pecans (53 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350℉.
  2. Toast pecans in a small pan until fragrant; set aside to cool.
  3. Peel, core, and chop apples into small chunks.
  4. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and mix well.
  5. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped apples and toasted pecans.
  7. Pour batter into a greased 8×8 baking dish and bake for 30–45 minutes until golden brown.
