  • 14.1 oz dark chocolate (60%-70%)
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/3 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare two 8-inch baking pans with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until just combined.
  4. Gradually stir in the hot coffee until smooth.
  5. Divide batter between pans and bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
