  • 1011 strips of bacon (cooked)
  • 2 heads broccoli (1.5 pounds)
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup roasted sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 & 1/4 cups mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
  • 1 lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 & 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon until crispy; chop into small pieces.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together dressing ingredients: mayonnaise/Miracle Whip, lemon juice/zest, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, mustard, and cayenne.
  3. Chop broccoli into small florets and mix with bacon pieces in a large bowl.
  4. Add cranberries, sunflower seeds, cheddar cheese, and red onion to the bowl.
  5. Pour dressing over the salad and mix well.
  6. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
