  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
  • 12 tablespoons Dijon mustard (to taste)
  • 12 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (to taste)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup full-fat sour cream

Instructions

  1. Season chicken pieces with garlic powder, salt, and pepper; dredge in flour.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil over medium-high heat; cook chicken until browned, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Add remaining olive oil and butter to the skillet; sauté mushrooms and onions for 6–8 minutes until browned.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic; cook for an additional minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth while scraping up browned bits from the skillet; return cooked chicken and heat through for about 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream until combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately over egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes.
