  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 7-ounce container plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken by mixing yogurt, garam masala, lemon juice, black pepper, and ginger in a bowl. Add chicken chunks and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a nonstick pan over high heat, sear half of the marinated chicken until golden brown; transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining chicken.
  3. Lower heat and add tomato sauce, cream, garlic, garam masala, paprika, salt, and cayenne to the pan. Stir for one minute.
  4. Add seared chicken back into the sauce and simmer for about 20 minutes until cooked through.
