  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Prepare the cinnamon-sugar coating by mixing sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  7. Take a tablespoon of dough, flatten it out, place chocolate chips in the center, fold over and seal tightly.
  8. Roll each dough ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture and place on the baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden; cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
