  • 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 ounces wide egg noodles
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup (10.5 ounces each)
  • ¼ cup water or milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter and sauté carrots, celery, and onion until tender (7–10 minutes).
  2. Sprinkle flour over vegetables and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  3. Gradually stir in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add bouillon base and pepper.
  4. Submerge chicken breasts in the pot; cover and simmer for about 15 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Remove chicken, shred into pieces, and return to the pot along with egg noodles.
  6. Cook noodles until tender (7–10 minutes), then mix in the cream of chicken soup with water/milk for creaminess.
