- 2 large chicken breasts
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- Olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Flour for dredging
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
Instructions
- Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms with Italian seasoning. Cook for about 5 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
- Stir in minced garlic followed by the white wine; let simmer until reduced by half.
- Add heavy cream and return chicken to the pan. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
