Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh chow mein noodles
  • 2 cups thinly sliced cabbage
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 small sliced onion
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce (or vegetarian stir fry sauce)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 minced garlic cloves

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by mixing all sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Bring water to boil in a large pan and blanch chow mein noodles for 20-30 seconds. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat and sauté onions, cabbage, and celery until softened (about 1 minute).
  4. Push veggies to one side, add remaining oil, then add noodles and prepared sauce.
  5. Toss everything together until noodles are well coated, then remove from heat and serve immediately.
