  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups Minute rice (white or brown)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) water
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 baking pan with butter.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, water, and rice; mix well.
  3. Pour the rice mixture into the baking pan and place the chicken breasts on top.
  4. Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the chicken.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 to 1½ hours until chicken is cooked through.
  6. Optional: In the last 10 minutes of baking, uncover and add shredded cheese if desired.
  7. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
