Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 ¾ cups chicken broth
- ¾ cup half and half
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- ½ chicken bouillon cube
- ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- ½ lb. shellbow pasta
- ¾ teaspoon dried basil
- ¾ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¾ teaspoon dried parsley
- ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ¾ teaspoon mustard powder
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together dried herbs and set aside.
- Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a soup pot over medium heat and sauté minced garlic with the herbs until fragrant.
- Add chicken broth, half and half, soy sauce, and crumbled bouillon cube; stir to combine.
- Bring to a boil, add shellbow pasta, reduce heat slightly and cook uncovered according to package instructions while stirring frequently.
- Once al dente, reduce heat to low; gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Finish with remaining tablespoon of butter and fresh lemon juice; stir gently before serving.
