  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 4 celery stalks (chopped)

  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 Bay Leaves

Instructions

  1. In a large stock pot, combine chicken breasts, chicken broth, celery, carrots, and onions.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover.
  3. Cook until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (20-30 minutes).
  4. Shred the chicken with forks and return to the pot.
  5. Stir in thyme, garlic, salt, pepper, bay leaves, egg noodles, and water.
  6. Cook over medium-high heat until noodles are tender (about 10 minutes).
  7. Remove bay leaves before serving.
