Description

Homemade pasta is a delightful culinary adventure that transforms simple ingredients into a gourmet experience. This recipe guides you through making fresh, flavorful pasta right in your kitchen, perfect for any occasion—whether it’s a casual family dinner or an elegant celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ¼ to 2 ½ cups 00 flour or all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • Additional flour for rolling

Instructions

  1. Clean and dust your work surface lightly with flour.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and eggs by creating a mound of flour and making a well in the center to add the eggs. Gradually incorporate the flour using a fork.
  3. Knead the dough into a smooth ball for about 8–10 minutes, sprinkling with extra flour if sticky.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Roll out portions of the rested dough to about 1/16 inch thickness using a pasta roller or rolling pin.
  6. Cut rolled dough into desired shapes and dust with flour to prevent sticking.
  7. Cook in boiling salted water for 2–4 minutes until al dente.
