- 1 1/2 lb chuck roast or flank steak (sliced into thin strips)
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3/4 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 lb broccoli (cut into florets)
- 3 tbsp water
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- Heat canola oil in the Instant Pot on 'Sauté' and brown the beef strips in batches.
- Add beef broth, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil; stir until combined.
- Lock the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 10 minutes.
- After cooking, perform a quick release of pressure and remove the lid carefully.
- Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the pot to thicken the sauce.
- Select 'Sauté' again, add broccoli, and cook for an additional 3 minutes (or 5 minutes if using frozen broccoli).
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
