Description

Instant Pot Beef and Broccoli is a quick and delicious way to bring the flavors of your favorite Asian take-out right into your kitchen. This dish features tender beef and vibrant broccoli, all enveloped in a savory-sweet sauce that’s ready in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 lb chuck roast or flank steak (sliced into thin strips)
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 lb broccoli (cut into florets)
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Heat canola oil in the Instant Pot on 'Sauté' and brown the beef strips in batches.
  2. Add beef broth, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil; stir until combined.
  3. Lock the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 10 minutes.
  4. After cooking, perform a quick release of pressure and remove the lid carefully.
  5. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the pot to thicken the sauce.
  6. Select 'Sauté' again, add broccoli, and cook for an additional 3 minutes (or 5 minutes if using frozen broccoli).
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
