  • 2 to 4 tablespoons milk or heavy cream (for icing)
  • 5 ounces nonpareils (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in ricotta cheese, eggs, vanilla, and almond extracts; mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk baking powder and flour. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
  4. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  6. Cool on racks before icing with a mixture of powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk.
