Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese
- 4 ounces softened cream cheese
- 2 diced jalapeños (seeds removed)
- ½ cup green onion (diced)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1½ – 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 2 teaspoons Slay Ya Mama
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 – 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine pepper jack cheese, cream cheese, jalapeños, and green onions until mixed.
- Roll the mixture into small balls and chill on a foil-lined baking sheet.
- Set up dredging stations: flour in one dish, whisked egg and buttermilk in another, and seasoned breadcrumbs in the third.
- Dredge each ball in flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs (repeat for extra crunch).
