  • 4 (6 oz) salmon filets
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 tsp water
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water. Combine with orange juice, zest, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil in a saucepan. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened; set aside to cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place salmon filets on it. Baste with half of the sauce.
  3. Bake salmon for about 14 minutes or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Baste with remaining sauce and broil for one minute to achieve a golden finish.
  5. Serve over steamed rice, garnished with optional toppings like sesame seeds and green onions.
