  • 1 cup reduced sodium beef broth
  • Hamburger buns (6)
  • Olive oil (1 tbsp)
  • Dijon mustard
  • Ketchup
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Dried oregano
  • Dried parsley
  • Dried basil
  • Paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Cut hamburger buns in half and spread mayonnaise or butter on each half. Place them on a baking sheet and toast for about 5 minutes.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté ground beef with diced onion and green pepper until beef is browned. Add chopped garlic and cook for an additional two minutes.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine beef broth with cornstarch and beef bouillon; blend well and pour into the skillet with the meat mixture.
  5. Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, red pepper flakes, oregano, parsley, basil, and paprika; mix thoroughly.
  6. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until heated through; sprinkle cheddar cheese on top to melt.
  7. Assemble by spooning the mixture onto toasted buns and topping with provolone cheese slices. Return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
