  • 4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 cups canned pumpkin (not pie filling)
  • ⅔ cup brown sugar
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup applesauce or canola oil
  • 3 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9×5 loaf pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. In another bowl, mix canned pumpkin, brown sugar, granulated sugar, applesauce (or oil), eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Divide the batter between the prepared pans and sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top.
  6. Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool before serving.
