- 1/4 tsp almond extract
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/4 cup sugar, lemon juice, and water. Stir until sugar dissolves and let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add heavy cream while mixing until soft peaks form, then fold in almond extract.
- In a trifle dish, layer angel food cake slices at the bottom, drizzle with the berry mixture, and add a layer of cream. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used up, finishing with berries on top.
