- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (120ml) thick caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Prepare the cheesecake filling by mixing cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat butter and sugars until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
- Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
- Scoop dough, flatten it, place cheesecake filling in the center, seal it up, and shape into balls.
- Chill for 20–30 minutes before baking at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.
