Ingredients

  • 200 grams sourdough discard (1 cup stirred and unfed starter)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • Optional seasonings: flaky sea salt, everything bagel seasoning, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, melt the butter and allow it to cool slightly. Mix in the sourdough discard and salt until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and spread it into a thin layer using an offset spatula.
  4. Sprinkle with flaky salt and seasonings of choice.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and score into squares using a pizza cutter.
  6. Return to the oven for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  7. Allow cooling on the baking sheet before storing in an airtight container.
