- 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup strawberry jam
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Add warm milk and melted butter; stir until combined. Incorporate the egg and knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm spot for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
- For the cheesecake filling, mix softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until smooth. Fold in strawberries and jam.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle (12×18 inches). Spread softened butter over the surface, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture, then layer the cheesecake filling.
- Roll tightly from one edge, cut into 12 equal pieces, and place in a greased baking dish. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
