  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ¾ cup cake flour
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1215 fresh strawberries (about 1 cup pureed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a donut mold pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together unsalted butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in one egg and vanilla extract.
  3. Stir in buttermilk and strawberry puree until well combined.
  4. Gradually add cake flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; mix until just combined.
  5. Transfer batter into a piping bag and fill each donut mold halfway.
  6. Bake for 7-8 minutes or until donuts spring back when touched lightly.
