- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- ¾ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup buttermilk
- ¾ cup cake flour
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 12–15 fresh strawberries (about 1 cup pureed)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a donut mold pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together unsalted butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in one egg and vanilla extract.
- Stir in buttermilk and strawberry puree until well combined.
- Gradually add cake flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; mix until just combined.
