- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round baking pans.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla; mix with dry ingredients.
- Gradually add hot water until smooth.
