- 1/2 sweet onion, diced
- 5–7 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 28 oz canned petite diced tomatoes
- 16 oz canned tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 large sweet potato, cubed (~12 oz)
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 cup frozen corn
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant (about 1–2 minutes).
- Add ground turkey, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper until browned.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chicken broth, sweet potatoes, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, and sugar; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to medium and let simmer for about 15 minutes until sweet potatoes are tender.
- Add frozen corn; increase heat to medium-high until the chili returns to a boil. Adjust seasoning if needed.
